Il est recommandé d'être à jeun quelques heures avant votre rendez-vous pour que les images soient de meilleure qualité.

Most modern fillings or dental implants do not pose a problem during an MRI, even if they sometimes contain metal. At most, they may cause slight artifacts on the images, but they generally pose no health risk.

Before an MRI, all jewelry, piercings, watches, metal hairclips, or any object containing metal must be removed; these objects could be attracted by the magnet and cause injuries. The MRI staff will check and advise you on what to remove.

Yes, it is possible to undergo an MRI even if you are claustrophobic. Our MRI model is one of the largest on the market (70 cm opening), making it the perfect compromise between image accuracy and comfort. Unlike older-generation MRIs, the interior space is wider, brighter, and better ventilated, which significantly reduces the feeling of confinement. Additionally, you maintain visual contact with the outside and the radiology assistant's booth via a specific mirror. At Predicto Medical, your comfort is at the core of our concerns. Everything is designed to help you let go: soft lighting, and a pleasant temperature.

Before you settle into the MRI, our team takes the time to explain what will happen during the examination, and one of our assistants remains in constant communication with you. The examination can be interrupted at any time if necessary.

It is also possible to take a sedative to help you relax during the examination.

Depending on the model, some pumps are MRI-compatible. In any case, we systematically verify the safety of the examination for each device. If you have an implantable pump, we will ask you to specify its model in the questionnaire in order to confirm its compatibility with the MRI.

If you have metal fragments in your body, particularly in your eyes, we will check that it is safe for you to undergo the MRI. Please indicate the potential presence of these metal fragments in the pre-examination questionnaire.

The possibility of performing an MRI depends on the type of aneurysm clip you have, so we will need more details. The MRI can be performed safely if the clip is non-ferromagnetic. Please indicate the type and model of your clip in the pre-MRI questionnaire so that we can verify its compatibility.

Compatibility with the MRI depends on the type of cochlear implant you have. Even if the MRI can be safely performed, the implant may affect the quality of head images. Please indicate the type and model in the pre-examination questionnaire so that we can verify its compatibility.

Every implant is different, which is why we need detailed information about yours. Most implants are MRI-compatible, but some can slightly affect the image quality of neighboring tissues. In the pre-MRI questionnaire, you will be asked to specify the type and model of your implant to verify its compatibility.

For safety reasons, individuals with a pacemaker must indicate the type of device on the questionnaire to determine if it is compatible with our MRI examination, in order to prevent magnetic fields from interfering with the device.

Yes, people with tattoos can undergo an MRI. There is a very low risk of a slight warming sensation in the tattoo area, but this remains rare. Please inform the staff before the examination and indicate the presence of your tattoo in the pre-MRI questionnaire so that we can take all necessary precautions.

Yes. The vast majority of IUDs are MRI-compatible. In all cases, we systematically verify the safety of the examination for each device. Among the most common compatible IUDs are Mirena and Copper T. In the pre-MRI questionnaire, you will be asked to specify your IUD model to confirm its compatibility.

Metallic or electronic objects can interfere with the MRI. It is therefore important not to enter the room with coins, jewelry, keys, mobile phones, watches, hearing aids, or any other metallic or electronic device. A secure space is provided for you to safely leave your personal belongings.

The fact that you have eaten does not prevent your MRI from being performed and presents no medical risk. It can only make the visualization of the stomach or gallbladder slightly less sharp.

The performance of full-body MRIs is a matter of controversial discussion because France suffers from a shortage of machines and has not had the opportunity to develop this practice, unlike other countries. Studies indicate that serious pathologies are found in several percent of cases, and every cancer discovered early is a boon for the patient and for society.

Furthermore, 40 to 50% of the examinations detect abnormalities that do not always have a pathological or therapeutic value.

Our role at Predicto Médical is to bring the benefits of preventive medicine where it makes sense. Therefore, we aim to avoid triggering unnecessary examinations. We provide adapted advice after the examination in order to interpret the results accordingly.

Any abnormal result does not necessarily mean a disease for the patient but may simply require regular monitoring.

Many diseases can be prevented or better treated if they are detected early. This is why there are different types of preventive health check-ups in medicine.

This preventive diagnosis is based solely on imaging and will be complementary to the routine biological assessment, as well as to the anamnesis and the identification of risk factors or genetic predisposition syndromes carried out by your attending physician.

It is important that all necessary parts of the body can be examined and that no additional health risk results from the examination, which is why our Predicto MRI does not require any injection of contrast agents.

No, the MRIs we perform do not use any radiation.

Since magnetic resonance imaging is based on the generation of a strong magnetic field, all metallic objects (chains, piercings, glasses, etc.) must be removed before the examination. Patients with certain pacemakers, cochlear implants, or other ferromagnetic implants must indicate the type of device on the questionnaire to determine if it is compatible with our MRI examination.

After providing you with a complete and suitable outfit, the radiology assistant who will accompany you throughout the examination will settle you comfortably on the MRI table. You will always maintain visual contact via a specific mirror and verbal contact via an intercom system. Depending on the MRI, we offer musical or video content to enhance your experience.

The examination includes a scan from head to thighs and takes several series of images in order to obtain different pictures of each part of your body. The examination table moves slowly forward into the MRI bore until the entire body has been scanned. This can take between 40 and 50 minutes.

All you need to do is lie down and relax during the examination: your only role is to remain calm and serene. Some patients may be sensitive to confined spaces, which is why we have chosen an MRI with the widest possible bore. In cases of significant claustrophobia, a mild sedative can be offered to help you if necessary.

After the examination, the data is evaluated by our experienced radiologists as well as by our AIs, and you will quickly receive your report with the results of your full-body MRI.

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is a diagnostic procedure that, unlike radiography or computed tomography (CT scan), requires no radiation exposure.

New developments in medical technology now allow for significantly shorter MRI examinations (maximum 50 minutes) and make it possible to examine the entire body in a single session without having to adjust the equipment.

Furthermore, the stronger magnetic fields combined with our cutting-edge AIs allow for a significantly better resolution and an even more precise analysis than just a few years ago.

No, our MRIs do not require a contrast agent.

No, there is no specific size or weight limit to perform the MRI.

The report presents the findings regarding the examined organs and systems, your images, as well as any detected anomalies. It also includes recommendations for you and your physician to assist you in managing your health.

The MRI report is generally available within one to two weeks, to allow the radiologist to analyze the images with rigor. Once the report is ready, it will be directly accessible in your client portal, and you will receive an email to inform you.

You are provided with an alert button that you can use at any time to notify the technician performing your MRI. The examination can be interrupted at any point during the sequence.

To ensure your comfort, we make every effort during the examination to limit your movements. Moving is not dangerous, but it can reduce the quality of the images. Our scan is highly precise because it captures the same tissue from different angles and contrasts. Movements can complicate the alignment of these images, which affects the accuracy of the analysis.

The image capture usually lasts between 40 to 50 minutes but can take up to 60 minutes. Afterwards, you can go home and resume your normal activities without any restrictions.

No specific clothing is required. You will wear a gown provided for the examination and may keep your underwear on.

The costs of a preventive whole-body MRI are not covered by health insurance. For this preventive and predictive indication, the costs must be borne by the patient themselves or by companies providing this examination to their employees. Thus, in certain companies, the Predicto MRI will be fully or partially covered by your employer.
